“I hired the Eightinity team to help with my SwiftUI iOS app. Their expertise was exactly what I needed. They immediately understood the app’s functionality and the technical challenges I was facing, and contributed creative animations. They were always responsive and ready to jump on a call to stay aligned.”
SanketKin App, Founder01 / Overview
KIN is a shared family calendar built around voice and photos. Say an event out loud or snap a school flyer, and it lands on one family timeline, where every member has an avatar, a colour and a filter.
It is built for the parent who runs the household and coordinates partners’ and kids’ schedules. Eightinity joined in early 2025 to polish the first iOS app, then rebuilt it as KIN V2, brought Android to parity and built the marketing site.
02 / Problem
Families keep schedules in their heads, in group chats and in generic calendars, so things get dropped. Turning speech into text is easy; turning “next Thursday after pickup” into one correct event is the hard part, because a wrong entry a family trusts is worse than none.
03 / Our Role
Vishal and the Eightinity team worked alongside the founder’s team across the whole product: the SwiftUI app and its interactions, the voice capture flow, onboarding and invites, Android parity in Jetpack Compose, and the marketing site.

04 / Engineering Challenges / Solutions
Swipe vs. scroll
Swipe-to-edit fought the timeline’s scrolling, so we replaced the SwiftUI drag gesture with a UIKit-backed gesture that cooperates with the scroll view.
Invites that survive installs
An invite opened before KIN is installed now hands off through an App Clip, and the invite is recovered after install with a deferred deep link.
Reliable attachment cleanup
Deleted attachments go through a storage deletion outbox, so files are always cleaned up instead of being left orphaned.
05 / Process
From polishing the first iOS release to a rebuilt V2 on iOS and Android, shipped in steady weekly increments.
