CopyAgain
A private clipboard vault for every Apple surface
- iOS
- macOS
- SwiftUI
- On-device AI

01 / Overview
CopyAgain is a clipboard manager and snippet library: save text, links and images once, then copy them with one tap from the app, a widget, a custom keyboard, the Share sheet, Siri, Control Center or a Mac menu-bar popover.
It is private by design. It only saves when you ask, never reads the clipboard in the background, has no account or server, syncs through private iCloud and keeps sensitive snippets behind Face ID. Apple Intelligence runs on device to improve, proofread and shorten text.
02 / Problem
People retype or dig up the same snippets every day: addresses, replies, commands, links. Most clipboard tools either keep a silent background history, which is a privacy risk, or live inside a single app.
03 / Our Role
Designed and built solo by our founder, Vishal Paliwal, in SwiftUI across iPhone, iPad and Mac, with every Apple system surface wired in.

04 / Engineering Challenges / Solutions
One store, many extensions
A single SwiftData store in a shared framework and App Group lets the app, keyboard, widget and Share extension all read and write the same snippets.
Reliable iCloud sync
Sync was rebuilt so it can’t silently fall back to local-only, default categories got stable IDs so devices stop duplicating them, and images sync only when you opt in.
A full on-device keyboard
A hand-built keyboard on Apple’s SDK with no third-party code: full QWERTY, a snippet panel that hides sensitive items, and on-device writing tools where supported.
05 / Process
Built in public over one summer, from the first SwiftUI screen to App Store launch.
